We have a huge amount of experience in the specialist decarbonisation sector, having worked on CESP projects as far back as 2012/13.
We are one of a very small group of UK window and door installers to hold PAS2030 – 2023, the eco-installation certification now required to work on any of the government’s retrofit energy efficiency schemes.
As a result, we work with partners right across the public and private sectors (including Wates, Equans and Moat Housing) on projects pioneering the latest techniques and technologies designed to reduce carbon emissions and energy costs.
Our collaborative approach and our willingness to share our knowledge of the processes involved with main contractors and other members of the design team makes us a particularly valuable partner on Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund funded projects.

Practical experience
Retrofit window and door installations in decarbonisation projects require specialist knowledge and expertise, for instance the use of expanding foam tape instead of internal sealant around window frames. Our fitting teams are all fully trained in line with our PAS2030 accreditation.
Reporting
Clients and contractors who work with us on decarbonisation projects benefit from The Window Company (Contracts) reporting app as standard. This provides real time updates on the status of installations and bespoke project reporting.
What is PAS2030 certification
PAS2030 is the British Standards Institution’s (BSI) specification for installing energy efficiency measures (EEMs) in domestic properties. It is a mandatory requirement under the UK government’s Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) schemes.
The certification ensures that installers follow best practices in delivering high-quality, energy-efficient installations, while maintaining robust client and consumer protection standards. It encompasses everything from materials and installation techniques to documentation and compliance checks.
The PAS2030 certification is closely aligned with PAS 2035, which outlines a framework for the whole-house retrofit process. Together, these standards support the government’s drive to meet net-zero carbon emissions targets by 2050.
