With principal contractor responsibility, we were able to manage the installation of 80+ aluminium windows and doors without disruption to the running of the school, when supply shortages meant the start date for the project was put back by a month.

We managed to condense a 7-week installation programme planned for the school summer holiday period into a 3-week programme working weekdays and weekends.

In a school which is a mix of modern and Victorian buildings, we recommended and installed frames in the versatile Smarts Alitherm 600 system. This enabled us to achieve a consistent overall look, but with windows and doors which matched the distinct style of the different parts of the school.

During the installation, our team retrieved a Victorian spirit level from inside the cavity of one of the original timber windows which we mounted and presented back to the school as a fitting memento of the project.
