LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026

It’s that time of year again where business leaders are invited to share their thoughts with the various trade magazines about the year to come – and I’ve submitted my thoughts already.

From The Window Company (Contracts)’ perspective, next year is looking very positive. We had our best trading year ever in 24/25 and, with the G25 Award for Customer Care now sitting proudly in our trophy cabinet, 25/26 is on course to be even better still.

We have long term contracts in place with several leading social housing providers and that obviously puts us in a much more comfortable position than most installers working in retail, where, I think, ongoing uncertainty in the economy and recent tax rises will continue to dent consumer confidence.

In terms of our market, we’re finally starting to see PVC-U flush sashes making inroads into social housing refurbishment as they become more affordable – which is an exciting development, but we’re yet to see any discernible take up of aluminium products, even though it’s increasingly being talked about in terms of sustainability.

For us, 2026 will continue to be about holding firm on our margins, supporting our suppliers with prompt payment and maintaining stability by working hard to implement our own payment terms.
